Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) ManagerEmployment Type: Direct HireProject Duration: Multi-YearCompensation: $90,000 – $110,000 AnnuallyBenefits: Full Corporate Benefits PackagePosition OverviewThis role will serve as the on-site safety lead, responsible for implementing project safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and partnering with project leadership to drive a proactive safety culture.The ideal candidate will bring 3 - 7 years of construction safety experience, with working knowledge of civil, mechanical, structural, and utility scopes commonly associated with water/wastewater infrastructure builds.Key Responsibilities / DutiesProvide daily on-site EHS leadership for all construction activitiesImplement and enforce site-specific safety plans and client safety requirementsConduct routine jobsite safety inspections, audits, and field observationsLead Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) and Pre-Task Planning (PTP) meetingsMonitor high-risk work activities including:Confined Space EntryExcavation & TrenchingFall ProtectionCrane & Rigging OperationsLockout/Tagout (LOTO)Support environmental compliance related to wastewater construction operationsFacilitate new hire safety orientations and ongoing toolbox talksLead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsTrack and trend safety metrics, observations, and corrective actionsMaintain OSHA logs and project safety documentationPartner with project management, subcontractors, and client representatives to promote an injury-free workplacePreferred Experience & Qualifications3 – 7 years of construction EHS experiencePrior experience supporting wastewater, water treatment, or utility projects strongly preferredWorking knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction StandardsExperience leading safety meetings, audits, and incident investigationsAbility to work independently as the primary on-site safety representativeStrong communication and subcontractor engagement skillsCertifications (Required / Preferred)Required:OSHA 30-Hour ConstructionPreferred:CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician)STSC or ASP (BCSP Credentials)First Aid / CPR / AEDConfined Space Competent Person TrainingExcavation Competent Person
