Cashier/Sales Associate

Overview We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be comfortable working with POS systems, and have a passion for retail sales and customer engagement. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse clientele. Duties Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales accurately and quickly Greet customers warmly and assist with product inquiries and recommendations Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits of merchandise Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and rotation Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including cash handling and balancing registers Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction Support store operations through phone etiquette, answering inquiries professionally Supervise or assist in supervising team members when necessary, ensuring smooth store functioning Experience Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred, especially in grocery or specialty stores Familiarity with POS systems and retail math calculations such as discounts and totals Experience in supervising or leading a team is advantageous but not required Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including bilingual abilities to serve diverse customers effectively Ability to perform basic math accurately for transactions and inventory management Proven customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and product demonstrations is beneficial Join our team to deliver outstanding service while developing your retail skills in a dynamic environment.
