Diesel Mechanic

Academy Bus is seeking full-time Bus Mechanics Level A & B for our Baltimore, MD location. $2500 sign on bonus. Every Friday is pay day!Pay rate starting from $29.00 per hour. Pay rate commensurate with candidate experience level.Responsibilities: Class B Diesel Bus Mechanic or Class A Diesel Bus MechanicRepair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour busesReconditioning, preventative and routine maintenanceInspections and road testsWarranty and repair documentationDiagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of components such as: brakes, suspension, tires, bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages.Respond to road callsBasic welding/fabricationClass B Mechanics will assist A Level Mechanics with skilled work and train/supervise C Level MechanicsClass A Mechanics will train and supervise Mechanics and Cleaners.Requirements: Diesel Bus Mechanic(B) 4-7 years of diesel engine maintenance(A) 7+ years of diesel engine maintenance(A) Proficient in the use of diagnostic devices such as: DDEC readers, ATEC readers, SmarTire, schematics, AIC (Freon) recovery and charging equipmentProven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and testing instrumentsMust have own tools according to levelValid driver's licenseBasic computer skillsCDL License with Passenger and Airbrake endorsement is a plus but not required, willingness to obtain a CDL License is also desirable.Health Insurance and Benefits Offered Include:Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Prescription insuranceSupplemental coverages401K planPaid time off and holiday payAcademy is an equal opportunity employer.Equal Opportunity Employer
