The Visitor Services Associate enhances the guest experience by engaging them from the get-go, providing friendly interaction and information about our museums, programs, and the surrounding local area. Responsibilities and qualifications are listed below, but more opportunities may be available based on your experience and interests. $17/hourSet Schedule: Summer - 9:45am-4:00pm, Tuesday-Saturday              Fall - 9:45am-4:00pm, Thursday-SaturdayFlexible Start Date: Wednesday, May 20thSuccess TraitsInterested in history and/or education.Energetic and outgoing with a positive attitude.Comfortable standing during a large portion of a shift.Passionate about providing exceptional customer service.Excellent verbal communication skills. Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesPerform daily opening and closing procedures of Anderson Barn Museum.Welcome and inform visitors about the museum, exhibits, programs, and membership opportunities. Answer the phone and take reservations for programs and events with scheduling and POS software. Communicate museum rules and policies to visitors in a clear and respectful manner; remind and enforce as necessary.  Resolve general complaints from guests and members on site.  Stay abreast of current programming and events and maintain inventory of printed information and marketing materials, ensuring signage is properly placed. Maintain the cash drawer, keeping accurate records of attendance, sales, and donations.Support staff with occasional office work and data entry as requested.Perform light household tasks and maintenance duties, such as cleaning, taking out garbage, and keeping front desk area free of clutter.Assist with other tasks related to the operations of historic sites as needed.This position reports directly to the Program Coordinator.QualificationsTraining on our specific local history and any software used will be provided.Demonstrated computer proficiency, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or Google Suite.Ability to perform physical tasks (lift 20 lbs.) if needed.Ability to pass a background check.Interested applicants should apply directly to https://form.jotform.com/220674908470157 or call 920.854.9688.
