This role provides an opportunity to contribute to end-to-end data engineering initiatives, from development to deployment and support.ImportantIndependant Visa holder: Green Card and USC (H4-EAD, L2 EAD can also apply) Full Time roleLocation: New York City (Manhattan)Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Design, build, and unit test Java-based applications for data processingDevelop backend services using Spring Boot and REST APIsBuild data pipelines integrating data from:Relational databases (Oracle)Implement event-driven data pipelines using Kafka (or MSK)Develop and expose APIs for data access and integrationWork with structured and semi-structured data formats (JSON, XML, etc.)Optimize application performance for high-volume data processingDeploy applications using Docker containersParticipate in code deployment and release processesMonitor and troubleshoot applicationsCreate documentation for usage, deployment, and supportParticipate in agile development (scrum) and collaborate with cross-functional teamsRequired Skills:Strong hands-on experience in Java developmentExperience with Spring Boot frameworkExperience working with Apache Kafka (event-driven architecture)Strong experience with Oracle databases and SQLExperience in building and consuming REST APIsKnowledge of data processing and integration patternsFamiliarity with JSON/XML data formatsUnderstanding of Docker/containerizationExperience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases is plusImportant Note: Our focus is on highly skilled back-end Java developers with strong SQL coding expertise and hands-on experience with Apache Kafka.
