What is the position?
The Prosthetic Practitioner is responsible for collaborating with the rehabilitation team to provide excellent prosthetic care centered on patient needs.What will you do?
As a Prosthetic Practitioner, you will:
Create prosthetic device designs based on best value and medical need, managing the full process from initial evaluation through casting/scanning, modification, fabrication, and final delivery.
Work closely with rehabilitation team, including therapists and physicians.
Evaluate patient needs related to medication, other surgeries, and disease and deliver prosthetic services.
Maintain understanding of how medication, other surgeries, and disease may impact ability of patients to come to a functional level.
Ensure patient care by reconciling identified issues with devices.
Follow up with physicians, health care professionals, and patients, and propose treatment options to physicians as needed.
Review prosthetic services to develop and improve business relationships and patient referrals.
Discover new business development targets and opportunities such as therapists, physicians, case managers, etc.
Utilize Nymbl to support documentation, workflow management, and patient care activitiesWhat are the requirements?
Bachelor's degree required
ABC Certified Prosthetist (CP) or Board Eligible
Licensed in the state of Ohio (or eligible for licensure)
Experience level open to early-career practitioners through experienced professionals
Must acquire 75 ABC-approved credits (per 5-year period) once certified
Strong clinical, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to work with a team
