Job Description We are working with a confidential client in the heavy equipment manufacturing industry to place a procurement professional on a 12-month contract. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their supply chain career looking to gain hands-on experience supporting global category buyers within a large, worldwide organization.What you will do:Place and manage purchase ordersResearch and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, and deliverySolicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and servicesMonitor shipments and resolve issues related to undelivered goodsSupport compliance, cost tracking, and supplier performance tasksWork alongside 2 senior category buyers and collaborate with a worldwide team in the U.S., Europe, and AsiaWhat we are looking for:2 years of relevant experience (internships accepted)Associate's or Bachelor's degreeStrong verbal and written communication skillsAnalytical thinking and data-driven decision makingAbility to analyze financial reports and price proposalsKnowledge of supply chain management and purchasing regulationsProficiency in Microsoft Office (required)PowerBI experience (preferred)Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiativePosition details:Location: Chillicothe, IL — on-site, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4pmPay: $20–22/hrDuration: 12-month contract starting May 2026Travel: Up to 25% to U.S.-based suppliersInterview process: 1 round, virtual
