Position OverviewOur client are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Superintendent to lead field operations across multiple construction projects in the Jackson, Mississippi area. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of civil construction, including site development, utilities, and infrastructure work.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide overall leadership and supervision for civil construction projectsManage and coordinate field personnel, including operators, labor crews, and subcontractorsLead hiring, training, performance management, and termination decisions for field staffEnsure proper staffing levels across all active job sitesOversee daily site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherenceReview plans, specifications, and project schedules to ensure execution aligns with project goalsCoordinate site logistics, sequencing, and resource allocationMonitor productivity and hold teams accountable for performanceCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure successful project deliveryMaintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and local stakeholdersScope of WorkThis role focuses primarily on civil construction, including:Earthwork, grading, and site preparationUnderground utilities (water, sewer, storm drainage)Roadways and infrastructure developmentSite development for commercial and public projectsThe Superintendent will also work alongside teams involved in vertical construction, though the primary responsibility is civil scope execution.Qualifications5+ years of experience in civil construction, with at least 3+ years in a Superintendent or senior field leadership roleStrong background in site development, earthwork, and underground utilitiesExperience managing multiple crews and job sites simultaneouslyProven ability to lead teams, enforce safety standards, and drive project schedulesAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsStrong communication and organizational skillsExperience working with subcontractors and self-perform teams
