Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.Position SummaryA Timothy Member is part of a group of staff who works as a team and rotate responsibilities. Provide assistance in the dining hall, dish room, program, and maintenance on rotations that change from week to week. During the week you will participate in non-department specific duties and be involved in Timothy Program activities.Essential FunctionsDining Hall/Dish roomSet & clear tables for each meal, Serve the foodBe responsible for the safety and upkeep of the dish roomMaintain cleanliness of dish room & equipment. Stack, wash & store dishes and upkeep of dish room, prep room & kitchen floorsProgramAssist Program leaders in leading campfires, chapels, supervising campers (never alone), and other program related duties.MaintenanceAssist in trash runs, set up and clean ups of programs, moving furniture / sound equipment, cleaning bathrooms, building campfires, and all other maintenance activities.Attend & actively participate in OrientationMaintain a standard of high integrity & morality that always promotes Jesus Christ, including break days and time offMaintain a high standard of personal living, cleanlinessAssist with and be involved with the supervision of campers at chapelsAssist cabin leaders in the supervision of campers and participate/lead nightly cabin devotions.Assist with and be involved with the supervision of campers at during campfiresWhen time permits, away from main responsibilities, be involved with cabin buddy assignment to assist with camper activities.Responsible for any other duties assigned by the Camp Director or his designateAssist with emergencies as needed and with weekly emergency drills.Working ConditionsPAY RATE: $360.00/wk.Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as chairs, tables, dish racks, and reach overhead. Ability to safely and properly use maintenance equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Minimum QualificationsMinimum 15 years of ageInterest and ability to work with childrenWork as a team playerAbility to accept guidance, direction and supervisionSkills, Knowledge & AbilitiesAbility, both visual and auditory, to identify safety hazards and monitor guest and staff behavior and enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency proceduresPhysical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness or injury).Willing to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and other environmental conditions.
