English Language Learning Program Teacher -Temporary Part-time

The Coralville Public Library is a dynamic and fun work environment in a diverse community. We are seeking a welcoming, organized, and engaging English Language Learning Teacher to provide coverage for our Community Outreach Educator's ELL duties. Duties include direct teaching as well as some oversight and coordination of all aspects of the library's English Language Learning program. Includes working with library staff, ELL students, and volunteers. Schedule would be a mixture of daytime, evening and weekend hours, with flexible planning and administrative time outside of set class times. Once our Community Outreach Educator returns from leave of approximately 3 months, there would be opportunity to continue to teach on a more limited basis and possibly work other library shifts. Estimated start date in early July 2026. This position will work varied hours, up to 20 hours per week. Qualifications The ideal candidate has experience teaching the English Language to non-native English speakers as well as experience overseeing programs, employees, and/or volunteers. TOEFL certification, language or education-related degree preferred.
