MAINTENANCE LEAD - 1st Shift - $28.00
DEPARTMENT: Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Plant Engineer
FLSA: Hourly - Non Exempt
Job Summary: Responsible for the daily activities of shop personnel including training, job assignment, and completion of work, excluding HR type functions such as hiring, evaluations, terminations, etc.
Tools and Equipment used: General office equipment and supplies and maintenance tools and equipment (both general and specialized).
Essential Functions:
Assure quality by enforcing and maintaining ISO-9000 work instructions and standards.
Assure that work instructions are updated annually and when there are changes to processes and/or equipment.
Assure that certification checklists are completed promptly.
Manage, monitor, and control work flow to achieve production and efficiency goals set by the Company.
Maintain plant records and report to management.
Follow company policy in training & scheduling employees.
Handle problems that arise in accordance with company policy.
Work scheduled overtime.
Ensure smooth and effective completion of job assignments for the maintenance personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Safety:
Assure that associates are trained to correctly perform their job functions.
Continually audit safety effectiveness within the department.
Actively participate in safety meetings and safety leadership.
Enforce all safety rules.
Participate in incident investigations to alleviate future hazards.
Manage, monitor, and control plant safety to ensure attainment of company goals.
Update safety training for new equipment or upgrades of existing equipment which effect it’s preexisting condition
Qualifications:
Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
High school diploma or GED required.
Specialized training and/or experience in electronics, electricity, HVAC, machinery installation/repair/troubleshooting, etc.
