Job Purpose: Responsible for coordinating the movement of parts and materials related to finished goods, preparing job kits prior to production, and supporting assembly technicians by identifying and resolving parts discrepancies as they arise.
Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
Material handling
o Receive and properly store all incoming materials in designated locations.
o Assist Receiving with resolving issues to ensure materials are processed accurately and efficiently.
o Move materials from one location to another as required to support operational needs.
o Establish bin locations for new materials and maintain accurate location information.
o Move full and empty barrels of spent material waste from point of use to storage locations.
o Move scrap material from point of use to storage locations.
· Kitting Jobs
o Pick parts for jobs and issue materials accurately and in a timely manner.
o Print and prepare job paperwork for picking activities.
o Review upcoming jobs with leadership to plan picks, verify material availability, and support production schedules.
o Organize and maintain inventory locations, including updating default part locations as needed.
· Inventory
o Perform daily cycle counts.
o Research, document, and reconcile inventory variances.
o Collaborate with Purchasing to support material ordering and availability.
Additional Responsibilities
· Assist with building shipping materials, including crates, boxes, and stand-up packaging.
· Maintain knowledge of ISO procedures and follow them as required.
· Actively participate in Labsphere’s continuous improvement process.
· Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.
· Assist in Hazardous waste management.
Other duties as assigned.
General Requirements (Education, Experience, Attributes of Successful Candidate)
· High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in material control, stockroom operations, receiving, or production control preferred.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including spreadsheets, databases, graphs, and word processing.
· Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and other shipping software platforms.
· Experience using ERP systems; Epicor experience is preferred but not required.
Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor to deal with internal and external contacts.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment under deadlines. Must be able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
· Demonstrated ability to take on challenges beyond the current position description and solve problems creatively.
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, kneel, reach, lift up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally, sit, stand, talk, and hear. Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
