Senior Full Stack Software Engineer

Job Description About the RoleA growing technology startup is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help build and scale its core product. This engineer will work across the frontend and backend, contributing directly to customer-facing features as well as internal systems. The role offers a high level of ownership and influence over technical decisions in a fast-paced environment.This position is well-suited for an engineer who enjoys working closely with product and design, shipping quickly, and improving systems over time.What You'll DoBuild and maintain full stack web applications used by customers and internal teamsDevelop scalable backend services and APIs to support product featuresImplement modern, responsive frontend interfaces with a focus on usability and performanceCollaborate with product managers and designers to define requirements and deliver solutionsContribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmap planningWrite high-quality, well-tested code and participate in code reviewsHelp improve engineering processes, tooling, and system reliabilityMentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong engineering cultureTech EnvironmentThe engineering team works with a modern startup stack, including:Frontend: React, TypeScript, Next.jsBackend: Node.js (Express or NestJS) and/or Python (Django or FastAPI)Databases: PostgreSQL, RedisCloud & Infrastructure: AWS or GCP, Docker, CI/CDAPIs: REST and GraphQLTools: Git, GitHub, modern monitoring and logging toolsWhat We're Looking For5+ years of professional software engineering experienceStrong full stack experience with modern JavaScript/TypeScriptProven experience building and maintaining backend services and APIsSolid understanding of relational databases and data modelingExperience deploying and operating applications in cloud environmentsAbility to work independently and take ownership of projectsPrior experience in a startup or fast-moving product team is a plusCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $160,000 – $210,000 (San Francisco senior-level range)Equity: Competitive equity packageBenefits: Medical, dental, vision coverage; flexible PTO; standard startup benefitsWork Model: Hybrid or remote-friendly depending on location and team needsEqual OpportunityThis role is with an equal opportunity employer.
