What We Are Looking For Navarro Regional Hospital is now hiring a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for our PACU/Outpatient Surgery to work in our thriving 162 bed acute care hospital. The Circulator acts as a team member of the operating room staff and ensures that the surgical room is sterile and safe for the patient.What You Will DoJob DutiesEvaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing careAssists physicians during examinations and proceduresPerforms various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nursePromotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skillsRequired SkillsStrong attention to detailPhysical stamina to handle long, arduous work hoursExcellent communication skillsAbility to adapt to change quicklyAbility to care for patients from pediatric to geriatricsMinimum RequirementsAssociate’s degree from an accredited school of nursingCurrently certified as a Registered Nurse in the State of TexasOne (1) year of experienceBLS, ACLS, and PALS certificationsPreferred RequirementsBachelor’s degree in NursingWorking HoursTwo (2) years of experience as Circulator preferredFive (5) Eight (8) hour shiftsCall is required.
