NVP of Agency Underwriting

NVP of Agency Underwriting is a full-time remote position responsible for managing escalations and supporting the Agency Underwriting Scenario Team while collaborating with various departments on underwriting projects and communication. Key ResponsibilitiesReview and complete escalations requiring Second Level Reviews and communicate decisions to the VP of underwriting Conduct daily team calls to discuss Second Level Review Escalations and perform weekly spot checks on escalation reviews Manage and grow the Agency Underwriting Scenario Team, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and providing necessary training and feedbackRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business or Finance; advanced degree preferred 10+ years of experience in mortgage underwriting, including 2 years in a management role Extensive knowledge of risk evaluation and regulatory compliance Strong understanding of FHA, VA, and conventional loan programs Proven leadership skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback
