This is a first-shift position.Responsibilities:As the Assistant Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:Coaching, training, developing, and mentoring employees (engineers, supervisors, etc.)Leading and maintaining a safe, environmentally compliant workplace (OSHA and EPA)Overseeing capital projectsImplementing and driving continuous improvement initiativesEnsuring and improving product qualityOptimizing production processesDeveloping, tracking, and reporting KPIsMaintaining a positive work environment and setting departmental goalsCovering plant operations in the absence of the Plant ManagerQualifications:To be considered for the Assistant Plant Manager position, you must have:A bachelor’s degree is preferred (Ideally engineering: Chemical, Metallurgical, Industrial, or Mechanical)A minimum of 7 years of production management experience in heavy manufacturing (steel, foundry, or chemical)Excellent communication and leadership skillsStrong knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulationsRelocation assistance is available.Key Skills:Leadership | Safety | Operations Management
