Apply today and help us build healthier communities together.Position SummaryReporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller serves as a key member of the Finance leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations across multiple legal entities. This role ensures the integrity of financial reporting, compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and the implementation of strong internal controls that safeguard organizational assets.The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on accounting leader with extensive experience managing complex financial operations, leading high-performing teams, and supporting executive decision-making within a nonprofit, healthcare, or multi-entity environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead all monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes across multiple legal entities.Direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and management reports.Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, claims accounting, and cash management.Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, grant and funding guidelines, and organizational policies.Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures that protect organizational assets and improve operational efficiency.Manage the annual external financial statement audit, Single Audit (as applicable), and all funding agency audits.Supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Partner with the CFO and executive leadership on financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and strategic initiatives.Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes through automation, process improvements, and best practices.Support organizational growth by providing financial analysis and recommendations that inform executive decision-making.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.CPA license strongly preferred.Progressive accounting leadership experience, including management of complex, multi-entity financial operations.Experience in nonprofit healthcare, healthcare services, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.Thorough knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, financial reporting, and audit management.Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and build strong cross-functional relationships.Proficiency with ERP and financial management systems, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.What You'll BringStrategic thinking with exceptional attention to detail.High ethical standards and commitment to financial integrity.Strong business acumen and sound decision-making abilities.A collaborative leadership style focused on coaching and developing others.A passion for serving communities through the mission of nonprofit healthcare.
