SCC Electric - Estimator

SCC Electric is looking for a full time electrical estimator out of Fairfield, CA! Estimator is responsible for preparing and completing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimatePrepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and enter into computer estimating system; review computer printout for accuracy and completenessRequest quotes from suppliers for equipment and materialsIdentify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for completeness with plans and specificationsItemize and quantify all incidentals necessary in preparing the bid packages including sub-contract work, equipment rental, tools, and suppliesAfter the successful bid at project turnover, meet with Project Management to fully explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes and offer aspects for the successful transition of the projectResponsible for the timely completion of all client-required documentsDraft scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimatesMaintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figuresThe duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:Advanced knowledge of electrical estimatingPerform calculations required for estimatingRead and interpret blueprints and/or engineering design drawingsProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and change priorities as necessaryWork under pressure and adapt to changing requirementsOral and written communication skills as requiredSelf-motivated, proactive and an effective team playerInteract effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others WHAT YOU BRING TO US:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years' experience estimating commercial electrical construction projectsExperience in EBM estimating software preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Health insurancePaid time offSchedule: 8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to Relocate: Fairfield, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required)
