As the business grows, legal strategy cannot be reactive. We need an in-house legal leader who can help structure the company for scale, reduce liability, strengthen contracts, manage risk, and protect Revive across every part of the business.This role exists to bring legal judgment closer to the business. You will help Revive build the right entity structures, contract frameworks, compliance processes, dispute strategies, and operational protections needed to grow responsibly. This is a high-impact role for someone who understands real estate, business operations, construction risk, corporate governance, and litigation exposure—and wants to build the legal foundation of a fast-growing company.What You Will DoAdvise leadership on legal risk across real estate, construction, corporate, employment, vendor, technology, and operational mattersSupport entity structuring, subsidiary governance, intercompany arrangements, and liability separation across Revive’s business linesDraft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, vendor agreements, contractor agreements, referral agreements, real estate-related agreements, and operating documentsStrengthen Revive’s contract templates to improve enforceability, reduce ambiguity, and protect against claimsPartner with leadership to identify legal risk in new products, programs, partnerships, and business modelsSupport dispute prevention and dispute resolution, including demand letters, escalations, settlement strategy, and litigation coordinationManage outside counsel efficiently, including scope, cost, priorities, and deliverablesAdvise on real estate transaction risk, construction-related issues, contractor obligations, and customer-facing documentationSupport corporate governance, board materials, entity maintenance, approvals, consents, and internal legal recordsHelp build scalable legal processes, playbooks, templates, and compliance workflowsReview marketing, sales, and customer communications for legal and regulatory riskPartner with HR and leadership on employment-related legal issues, offer letters, policies, compensation plans, and employee documentationMaintain a practical, business-minded legal function that protects Revive without slowing the company downWho You AreA business-minded attorney who can identify risk without becoming a blockerComfortable operating across multiple legal areas rather than one narrow specialtyStrong judgment in ambiguous, fast-moving environmentsDirect, clear, and practical in communicationAble to translate legal issues into business decisions leadership can act onDetail-oriented but commercially practicalComfortable building legal systems, templates, and processes from the ground upProtective of the company while understanding the pace of a growth-stage businessQualificationsJuris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in California, or ability to register as in-house counsel in California5+ years of legal experience, preferably with in-house, real estate, corporate, construction, litigation, or transactional exposureExperience drafting and negotiating commercial contractsWorking knowledge of corporate governance, entity structuring, and liability managementExperience managing disputes, litigation strategy, or outside counselReal estate, construction, proptech, fintech, or startup experience preferredThe Pay Range For This Role Is125,000 - 225,000 USD per year(Irvine, CA)
