Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Maintenance and Automation Manager, the Level 2 Automation Technician is responsible for HellermannTyton's specific automated and semi-automated equipment and extraction / placement robots. An AT-2's main focus should be training AT-0, AT-1, and production employees when necessary, identifying and writing procedures and technical documents, handling more complex electrical and mechanical diagnosis, repairs, and adjustments. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.Essential FunctionsPerforms all AT-1 Essential FunctionsWrites at least two approved standard operating procedures, training documents, or MP2 instructions per yearTrains department new-hires on proper repairs, changeovers, preventive maintenance (PM), and other duties or programs with the help of departmental technicians as assigned.Assists training Process Technicians with automation-related topics when required.Able to upload / download programs or firmware on HMIs, PLCs, Star Robots, Printers, etc.Able to edit PLC's (Clean up rungs, add or remove rungs, set fault traps) if necessary, without negative repercussions.Able to do electrical upgrades and interfacing to automation. (Ex: Upgrading HMI, adding HMI's, upgrading drives, etc.)QualificationsHas completed Mechatronics program, Automation Systems Associates Degree, or 5 years of relevant experience.Must have valid drivers license, with acceptable driving record and carry adequate insurance.#LI-MS1 #LI-OnsiteBy applying for a position with HellermannTyton, you understand that should you be made an offer, it will be contingent on your undergoing and successfully completing a background check through the use of our 3rd party supplier.
