South Bend, Indiana (Onsite)Compensation: Up to $150,000 Industry: ManufacturingOur client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to lead the implementation of CMMC compliance across the business.This is a high-visibility, high-impact role responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting cybersecurity controls to ensure compliance and protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) across engineering, production, and corporate systems.The organization is serious about achieving compliance and is investing accordingly. This role will serve as the internal subject matter expert and drive the initiative from assessment through audit readiness.What You'll Be Responsible ForCMMC & Compliance LeadershipLead implementation of Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 controlsConduct gap assessments against National Institute of Standards and Technology SP 800-171Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), POA&Ms, policies, and documentationEstablish processes for handling and protecting CUIPrepare the organization for third-party C3PAO assessmentsReport progress and risk posture to executive leadershipSecurity Engineering (Manufacturing Environment)Secure ERP, engineering systems, file shares, and production-connected environmentsImplement network segmentation between corporate IT and operational technology (OT)Manage firewalls, MFA, endpoint detection/response, logging, and vulnerability scanningHarden Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Azure environmentsImprove monitoring, incident response, and access controlsWhat They're Looking For3+ years of cybersecurity engineering experienceHands-on experience implementing NIST 800-171 controlsExperience preparing for CMMC or DoD compliance assessmentsBackground in manufacturing or industrial environments strongly preferredExperience developing compliance documentation (SSPs, POA&Ms, policies)Strong understanding of Microsoft-based environmentsCertifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, or Certified CMMC Professional are a plus but not required.Why This Role Is AttractiveExecutive-level visibility and ownershipClear budget and commitment to achieving complianceOpportunity to build and formalize a security programCompetitive compensation (up to $150K) in the South Bend marketLong-term stability within the defense supply chain #INMAR2026 #LI-JW1Click here to apply online
