Psychiatrist for a Mental Health Center in Richmond, Virginia!Job Type: Full-TimeAnnual Salary: $300K+ annuallyLocation: Richmond, VirginiaWho They Are:They are a rapidly growing mental health services company operating in Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia, specializing in providing traditional and innovative psychiatric and psychotherapy treatments to the residents of the Mid-Atlantic. They are looking for a motivated Inpatient Psychiatrist to join their team and grow with them. The organization provides comprehensive behavioral health services by a group of competent, independent practitioners, diagnosing and treating children, adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population.Job Summary:They are seeking a full-time BC/BE Psychiatrist to join their team. The successful candidate will work alongside advanced practice providers and therapists across inpatient psychiatric hospitals in Richmond, Virginia. Clinicians average 10+ patients a day and provide treatment modalities including diagnostic evaluation and medication management. There is also potential for outpatient work at a later date.Responsibilities:Report to the Chief Medical OfficerReview patients’ medical history and collect additional information from family members and psychologists as neededEvaluate patients’ emotional, behavioral, and mental state through discussion, observation, and analysisIdentify mental disorders and determine the best treatmentsDevelop therapy plans if applicablePrescribe medicationsAnalyze medical tests and track patients’ progressCoordinate with healthcare professionals when hospitalization is requiredAdvise patients on coping with mental diseases and emotional breakdownsSupport patients’ loved ones and inform them about the patient’s conditionBe on-call as new patients are admitted and delegate to APPs on the teamResearch medical issues and new treatments to stay updated on mental healthcareQualifications for Success:Work experience as a PsychiatristIn-depth knowledge of various psychotherapeutic methodsExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical terms to a non-medical audienceStrong observation skills to accurately evaluate patients’ demeanor and symptomsA great bedside manner and the ability to remain calm, empathetic, and patient with severely mentally ill patientsMD or Doctor of Osteopathic MedicineCertification from the American Board of Medical Specialists (ABMS)Optional Fellowship in Addiction or Child/Adolescent PsychiatryCompletion of a Psychiatry Residency programAdditional Requirements:Minimal travel (50%) may be necessary to be present in different office locations for employee supportAll offers of employment are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background checkBenefits That Matter:Health, Dental, and Vision InsuranceFree Life Insurance401(k) MatchOpportunity for professional growth and expansionPTO (including increases with years of service, holidays, and floating days)Location:This is an on-site position located in multiple locations in Richmond, Virginia.The organization is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment.
