Employees may be asked to perform tasks as needed that are not described below.)Master the Monthly Accounting Cycle: Manage all aspects of the monthly accounting process, from journal entries to reconciliations, ensuring precision and punctuality.Enhance Job Costing Systems: Take charge of tracking labor and project costs, collaborating with operations to resolve variances, and maximizing profitability reporting.Optimize Cash Flow Management: Oversee accounts receivable and payable, customer credit, vendor approvals, and contract compliance to mitigate risk and enhance cash flow.Ensure Payroll Accuracy: Run weekly payroll and manage certified payroll and union reporting with the utmost accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.Support Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with the CFO on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to empower leadership decisions.Drive Innovation with Dashboards: Develop and maintain dynamic financial dashboards using Power BI, while spearheading automation and process improvements across accounting workflows.Prepare for Financial Excellence: Assist with financial prequalifications, annual reviews, and CPA coordination to ensure audit readiness and compliance.Lead and Mentor: Guide the Administrator in timely and accurate completion of accounting tasks, serving as a vital escalation point for departmental challenges.Required:5+ years of accounting experience, with strong month-end close, reconciliations, and payroll expertiseAdvanced Excel skills and high attention to detailExperience building processes, controls, and systems in smaller organizationsPreferred:Construction or field services accounting experience, including job costing and certified payrollExperience with construction accounting software (Foundations or similar)Experience supervising or coordinating administrative staffCPA or CPA-track a plus
