Thank you!OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee tax planning, compliance, preparation, and review functions for individuals, businesses, partnerships, corporations, and/or trusts. This role is responsible for managing client relationships, reviewing tax returns, supervising staff, identifying tax-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.The ideal candidate has strong technical tax knowledge, excellent client-service skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines during busy seasons.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, and trustsProvide tax planning and advisory services to clients or internal stakeholdersResearch complex tax issues and communicate findings clearlyEnsure compliance with current tax laws, regulations, and filing requirementsReview work prepared by staff accountants and provide coaching, feedback, and technical guidanceManage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for tax-related questionsIdentify opportunities for tax savings, process improvements, and risk reductionCoordinate tax projects, deadlines, extensions, estimates, and year-end planningAssist with audits, notices, and correspondence from tax authoritiesStay current on changes to tax laws and communicate potential impactsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related fieldCPA license strongly preferred5+ years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting or a corporate tax environmentStrong knowledge of federal and California tax regulationsExperience reviewing individual and business tax returnsAbility to manage multiple clients, projects, and deadlinesStrong communication, leadership, and analytical skillsProficiency with tax software and Microsoft ExcelPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Taxation or AccountingExperience with high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, or trusts/estatesPrior supervisory or team leadership experienceExperience with tax planning, entity structuring, and multi-state tax matters
