Position Overview CBF Inc. is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and process-focused Electrical Project Engineer (PE) to join our San Francisco Electrical Project Management team. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build a long-term career in commercial electrical construction and project management. The Project Engineer will support Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers in the coordination, documentation, and execution of commercial electrical projects. This role is heavily focused on learning construction processes, developing technical knowledge, and building a strong foundation in project management and field coordination. This is a full-time, salaried exempt position based in our San Francisco office. Responsibilities Estimating & Preconstruction Support Review plans, specifications, and bid documents during preconstruction Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks to gain project exposure Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with preparing estimates and budgets Assist in preparing scope letters and bid documentation Prepare and track Requests for Information (RFIs) Support initial project setup and bid package organization Project Coordination & Documentation Support Assist Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination Support tracking of submittals, drawings, specifications, and project documentation Help maintain project logs, schedules, and tracking tools Assist with procurement tracking and material lead times Participate in project meetings and support follow-up documentation and action items Field Exposure & Support Conduct job-site visits to gain field experience and understanding of installation practices Support coordination between office staff and field teams Assist in resolving basic field questions and documenting site observations Learn construction sequencing, installation standards, and project workflows Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred Internship or prior exposure to construction (electrical preferred) Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced construction environment Good communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks with supervision and guidance Software Experience Preferred Bluebeam Procore PlanGrid Accubid Viewpoint Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) Adobe Acrobat Why Join CBF Inc.
