Position SummaryAs aDirect Support Professional (DSP) , you will support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes or apartments. Youll assist with daily living skills, community inclusion, and personal growthhelping individuals gain independence while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
This role is ideal for compassionate professionals with experience in caregiving, human services, behavioral health, education, or healthcareor those looking to grow a long-term career in the DD/IDD field.

Requirements:Support residents with daily routines and independent living skills (nutrition, hygiene, money management, social skills, etc.)
Assist with personal care and medical needs
Administer and document medications accurately
Transport residents to medical appointments and community activities using agency vehicles
Facilitate community inclusion (bowling, movies, fairs, outings, and social events)
Ensure resident safety, dignity, and well-being at all times
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Advocate for residents rights and individual goals
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and team collaboration
QualificationsValid drivers license with aninsurable driving recordand ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check with minimal violations (no provisional restrictions)
Must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to drive themselves between work sites when required; must also be comfortable driving agency vans when transporting individuals served
At minimum, a high school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent
Must be21 years of age or older
Ability to attend and successfully complete arequired two-week, in-office paid trainingupon hire, as well as maintainannual recertifications
Comfortable using computers and agency systems to document thorough, accurate, and detailed shift summary reports; log data into electronic systems, check and respond to emails, and upload required documentation
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and other web-based systems
Ability to provide professional references during the application process
Required to transport individuals served using agency vehicles for community activities and medical or planned appointments
Physical & Mental RequirementsAbility to assist residents with mobility and personal care
Lift/Force Requirements:
Constant: 10 lbs
Frequent: 25 lbs
Occasional: 50 lbsStrong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to work independently while ensuring resident safety
Compensation & BenefitsPay:$20.00-$21.00/hour
