We’re looking for creative, driven talent to join us and help shape the future of pet care.You will be a Director, Product Design, leading design within Chewy Health, based in either our Bellevue, WA or Boston, MA offices. This is a high-impact, leadership role guiding the teams designing an integrated suite of services enabling seamless, omni-channel experiences for pet parents, veterinarians, and pharmacists across the full care journey.You will reinvent how pet care is delivered - designing customer first experiences spanning including physical practices, telemedicine and triage, and prescriptions. Capabilities include: scheduling and managing appointments; in-clinic and virtual interactions with veterinarians and staff; payments and service workflows; medication fulfillment; and post-visit care. This role is ideal for a design leader who thrives in complex, regulated environments and is passionate about bringing consumer-grade experiences to professional and B2B users.What You’ll DoLead and inspire multiple teams of product designers delivering high-quality, user-centered experiencesDefine and drive a long-term design vision and strategy focused on delivering Connected CareInfluence and shape multi-year product roadmapsDrive innovation through bold, customer-centric thinkingCreate cohesive, scalable experiences across platforms and devices to deliver business growthEnsure UX excellence, accessibility, and consistency for health and the Chewy ecosystemPartner cross-functionally with product, engineering, research, and business leadersEstablish and evolve design processes and operational excellenceBuild, mentor, and retain a high-performing design teamWhat You’ll NeedBachelor’s degree in design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)15+ years of experience in UX/Product Design10+ years of experience leading design teams including managersExperience in high-growth, complex product environmentsProven ability to lead across multiple products or programsTrack record of driving operational excellence and building scalable processesExpertise in user interface design, information architecture, interaction design, and user-centered design methodologiesAbility to translate data (qualitative + quantitative) into strategic design decisionsStrong cross-functional collaboration and influence skillsExcellent communication and storytelling abilities across all levels of the organizationHigh judgment, strong analytical thinking, and decision-making skillsAbility to bring ideas to life through clear, tangible design conceptsPreferred Qualifications (Bonus)Experience designing complex workflows for customers and expert usersExperience delivering multi-channel experiences (web, mobile, in-clinic/POS, etc.)Background in consumer experiences for healthcare or other regulated industriesAbility to balance speed, quality, and multiple priorities effectivelyHands-on perspective with the ability to dive deepWork ArrangementHybrid Model: 3-4 days in hub location per weekPosition will require 25-30% travelRemote: This role is NOT remoteThe base salary range for this role is $204,500 - $300,000.00.The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant.
