Hematologist/Oncologist Opportunities with AdventHealth Medical Group Central Florida
Overview
AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) Oncology & Hematology seeks fellowship‑trained, team‑oriented hematologist/oncologists to join our established practices in Central Florida.
Role includes primarily outpatient care with inpatient rounding on call weekends, multidisciplinary clinic participation, research and Phase I clinical trial involvement, daily tumor boards, and collaboration with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, palliative care, and other specialties. Physicians are expected to engage in whole‑person care supported by nurse navigators, social workers, chaplaincy, pharmacy, nutrition, and additional comprehensive services.
Responsibilities
Provide outpatient hematology/oncology patient care with inpatient rounding weekends.
Participate in multidisciplinary clinics, daily tumor boards, and research activities including Phase I clinical trials.
Engage in continuous medical education through daily tumor board focus on specific tumor sites.
Collaborate with surgical oncology, plastic & reconstruction surgery, inpatient/outpatient palliative care, radiation oncology, and other specialists to deliver whole‑person care.
Maintain shared call schedule to promote work‑life balance.
Qualifications
Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
Experience in malignant hematology, general hematology, and oncology; ability to specialize in specific solid tumor sites.
