Reporting to the Director of Software, this role focuses on guiding,mentoring, and developing engineers to deliver technical excellence and accelerateshipping. The ideal candidate champions modern, AI-assisted development practices—including agentic coding tools such as Claude Code—and supports engineers in solvingcomplex problems across distributed systems, mobile platforms, and desktop clients.How You'll ContributeTeam Leadership and Development:Mentor and develop cloud, mobile, and desktop engineers, fostering a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvementBuild team capability in modern application stacks and AI-assisted/agentic development workflows (e.g., Claude Code) so the team ships high-quality software fasterEmpower engineers to identify pragmatic technical solutions that balance velocity, reliability, and user experienceTechnical Support and Guidance:Partner with global engineering, product, and design teams to align local efforts with platform roadmaps across cloud, mobile, and desktopServe as a technical sounding board on architecture and trade-offs spanning distributed cloud systems, iOS/Android, and Windows/macOS clientsPerformance Management:Conduct regular performance assessments, providing constructive feedback and setting clear expectations and goals for team membersFacilitate career development discussions and create individualized plans to advance team member growth and proficiencyProcess Alignment and Improvement:Ensure adherence to Biamp's software development lifecycle—CI/CD, code review, security, and quality standards—across cloud, mobile, and desktop codebasesIdentify opportunities to streamline delivery through tooling, automation, and agentic AI assistants that boost developer productivityCollaboration and Communication:Foster strong relationships with peer managers and global product, design, and engineering partners to enable effective collaboration and knowledge sharingCommunicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on team contributions and highlighting areas of success and improvementAdditional Responsibilities:Participate in strategic initiatives as required by managementPerform other duties as assigned by your ManagerA Successful Candidate Should HaveBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum of 2 years leading software engineering teams that build cloud services, mobile apps, and/or desktop applicationsStrong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of mentoring and developing engineering talentHands-on familiarity with modern cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), mobile (iOS/Android), and/or desktop (Windows/macOS) application developmentExperience adopting AI-assisted and agentic development tools (e.g., Claude Code) with a clear point of view on integrating them responsibly into team workflowsAbility to work collaboratively across global teams and navigate cross-cultural communication effectivelyWhat We OfferMedical, Dental, and Vision3 weeks annual PTO and 9 paid holidays401(k) + matchingEmployer-paid base life insurance, short, and long-term disabilityHealth savings accounts (with Biamp contribution) and flexible spending accountsTuition reimbursementCharitable donation matchingDiscretionary profit-sharingReferral bonusesWho is Biamp?We make the world’s most extraordinary audio and video solutions.
