Oak & Steel Smokehouse, a new venture by a passionate couple, is looking for a highly experienced Pit Master to join our team in Cologne, MN. About Us: Oak & Steel is a brand new smokehouse specializing in wholesale smoked meats sourced from the midwest. We take pride in crafting delicious, high-quality products while adhering to the strictest safety standards. We operate under daily inspection from the MN Department of Agriculture and rigorously follow HACCP guidelines. About You: You are a seasoned Pit Master with extensive experience cooking on an offset smoker fueled by oak splits. You possess a deep understanding of smoking techniques, wood selection, and meat preparation. You have a proven track record of producing consistently delicious and high-quality smoked meats. You are detail-oriented and meticulous, ensuring all food safety protocols are followed. You possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, working collaboratively with a small, passionate team. You are reliable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. Responsibilities: Prep and season meats according to established recipes. Operate and maintain the smoker, ensuring consistent cooking temperatures and smoke quality. Monitor and adjust cooking processes as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to all food safety regulations and HACCP protocols.
