CT Technologist

Job Summary: The Radiology/Cardiology CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-volume CT scans in a fast-paced emergency department setting using Siemens and GE scanners. This role requires expertise in multiple CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CTAs, and multiplanar reconstruction. The technologist will work closely with clinical teams to provide accurate imaging for patients ranging from infants to geriatrics, including trauma and stroke cases. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work weekends are essential.Responsibilities: Perform CT imaging procedures across a variety of anatomical areas including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, and CT angiography. Operate Siemens (FORCE model) and GE CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Manage a daily caseload of approximately 150-200 scans across four rooms. Support emergency department imaging needs including routine ED patients, code stroke, and trauma cases. Collaborate with radiologists, emergency staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate imaging services. Maintain imaging equipment and ensure proper use of PACS and Visage systems. Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards for patient care and imaging procedures. Required Skills & Certifications: Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience. Proficient use of Siemens (FORCE model) and GE CT scanners is mandatory. Experience with inpatient, emergency room, and adult ICU settings. Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with CT certification. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to perform CT procedures including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, spine, musculoskeletal, brain perfusion, CT angiography, and multiplanar reconstructions. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience with outpatient imaging. Skills in intravenous (IV) starts and contrast administration. Familiarity with PACS, Visage, and other imaging software platforms. Special Considerations: No weekend requests off (RTO) are allowed; any call-offs or additional RTO may lead to cancellation or denial of request. Extremely fast-paced emergency department environment with trauma and code stroke cases. Orientation attendance is mandatory; missing any portion may delay or cancel start date. Interview with hiring manager required prior to offer. Scheduling: Weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only. 12-hour shifts from 7:45 PM to 8:15 AM. 36 hours per weekend. No call or float requirements. Start date subject to trainer and class availability; travelers must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation week.
