Practice Overview:We are seeking a Locum Hematologist Oncologist to join their well-established team. The practice provides comprehensive hematology and oncology care with strong support from nursing and ancillary staff.Responsibilities:Outpatient consults and follow-up careOversee administration of antineoplastics in the clinicInpatient responsibilities: Minimal; hospitalists admit patients and primarily consult via phoneServices include: Antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, bone marrow biopsiesDaily patient volume: in clinic, 0 2 inpatientAppointment length flexible: min follow-ups, 60 min consultsEMR: EPICTeaching opportunities availableSchedule:Mon Thurs (most likely)16 shifts per month, 8 hours per shiftClinic hours: 08 30On call: Potentially one week and one weekend per month (phone calls only)Support Staff:2 nurses per provider, plus referral and triage nursesAdditional support: Reception, lab, social worker, referrals, dietician4 exam roomsLab, pharmacy, and medical imaging available on sitePatient Demographics:Adults, age 18 and olderRequirements:Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology Fellowship trained in Hematology & Oncology Active Iowa medical license or IMLC Full-time availability (Mon Thurs) Ability to perform minor urgent procedures (MUA)Experienced candidates highly preferred, but new graduates will be considered
