Backend Java Developer

This remote contract role focuses on building reliable backend solutions while contributing insights that help AI systems learn, reason, and perform. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot. Architect robust microservices that support complex application requirements. Review technical specifications with the customer team and deliver high-quality code. Improve application performance, reliability, and security through expert technical input. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Document technical processes and solutions clearly and concisely. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize backend systems as needed. Qualifications Expert proficiency in Java. Hands-on Spring Boot backend development experience. Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with close attention to detail. Experience collaborating with remote teams in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of REST APIs, data structures, and backend best practices. Preferred Qualifications Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with AI-driven or data-intensive projects. Background in high-availability or distributed systems.
