This role requires a strong technical background in mechanical or materials engineering , with proven experience in consumer or wearable product development . The program manager ensures seamless cross-functional coordination , manages schedules and deliverables, mitigates risks, and supports supplier engagement and production planning to meet business goals.Key Responsibilities:Program Execution & DeliveryDrive program execution from design concept through prototyping and product launch.Own program schedules, manage deliverables, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.Monitor key performance metrics, including assembly yield, process stability, version management, and schedule adherence.Cross-Functional LeadershipLead cross-functional reviews, synchronizing design, engineering, operations, and supplier partners.Support alignment meetings and executive reporting on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.Collaborate closely with engineering, prototyping, fabrication, testing, and factory-support teams.Supplier & Operations CoordinationPartner with GSM and operations teams on supplier engagement, capacity planning, tooling kick-off, and CapEx tracking.Oversee vendor management, material selection, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) processes.Design & Product ManagementOversee change management, balancing quality, cost, and design trade-offs through iterative product cycles.Support innovation and productization cycles, ensuring manufacturability aligns with design intent.Lead engineering builds, design iterations, and risk assessments across disciplines.Process & Performance OptimizationPlan and coordinate testing, risk mitigation, and engineering handover processes.Maintain proficiency in program scheduling, cost tracking, and deliverable ownership across multiple parallel projects.Essential Skills & Competencies:Strong technical background in mechanical or materials engineering ; consumer/wearable product development preferred.Proven experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) and softwood phase management.Knowledge of tooling, injection molding, material selection, and DFM .Skilled in vendor management, supply chain coordination, and CapEx planning .Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.Familiarity with product innovation, prototyping, and productization cycles.Ability to perform risk mitigation, testing planning, and engineering handover .Desirable Skills:Experience in consumer electronics or wearable technology products .Advanced understanding of program scheduling tools, cost tracking, and performance metric dashboards .Experience Required:8 10 years in program management or product engineering roles, preferably with experience in NPI and mechanical/materials engineering projects .
