Production Utility Person

PHIPPS & BIRD INC., a 100-year-old local manufacturing company, is hiring a Production Utility Person. This position entails prepping and powder coating parts for further processing; sanding; operating machinery; assembly; and other miscellaneous labor duties as assigned.Candidate must be a self-starter; be safety-conscious; be capable of lifting 75 lbs.; be organized and detail oriented; and be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment.Machine shop experience, industrial painting/powder coating experience, and a mechanical aptitude are a plus.Inexperienced individuals will be considered as long as the candidate is ambitious and exhibits an aptitude for production work. Training provided. Pay is commensurate with experience.Phipps & Bird is a Drug-Free Workplace. Passing a pre-hire drug test and periodic random drug screenings is required.Full-time: Hours are Monday-Thursday, 6:00AM to 4:30PM, with frequent Friday overtime.
