Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) Highlights • The pay for this position is $40.00-$44.00 per hour . • Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm schedule • Onsite position • This position is a contract opportunity with potential for extension or conversion to FTE. Responsibilities • Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate patient care while promoting continuity of care in alignment with established standards • Assess patient health status through interviews, medical history review, and ongoing evaluation • Identify patient and family needs; provide education and instructional materials as appropriate • Deliver psychosocial support to patients and their families • Facilitate clinical operations and ensure efficient patient care delivery • Manage medication refill requests and accurately document in patient charts • Coordinate and schedule consultations, diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up appointments • Triage patient calls and document relevant clinical information • Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams • Assist patients with accessing community resources • Collaborate with healthcare team members to support optimal patient outcomes • Act as a clinical resource for LPN/LVNs and medical assistants Requirements • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) • Active RN license in the practicing state • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Minimum of 1–2 years of nursing experience • Oncology experience strongly preferred; surgical or OB/GYN experience will also be considered • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills Benefits Available • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment. • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates. Manage primary hematology oncology diagnoses Develop strategies to improve hematology/oncology patient care services Provide expert professional nursing care to critically ill pediatric hematology/oncology patients Serve as a multidisciplinary, hematology/oncology team member in providing comprehensive nursing care to hematology/oncology patients in the ambulatory setting Participate in yearly oncology continuing education Implement and evaluate appropriate plan of care of hematology and oncology patients Specialize in areas such as pediatric hematology/oncology or breast cancer Coordinate the delivery of oncology treatments, often in intensive care conditions, to assigned patients in a medical oncology facility Provide specialized oncology nursing care to patients in a hospital or clinic setting Serve as hematology/oncology unit/clinic charge nurse, team leader, and/or triage nurse Provide professional telephone triage and medical advice to hematology/ oncology patients and caregivers Assume responsibility and accountability for the nursing assessment and/or primary care of hematology and oncology patients Provide nursing care to adult oncology patients Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing services Mentor, supervise, and direct employed medical oncology staff Utilize the comprehensive nursing process to participate and provide input into patient treatment plans for hematology and/or oncology patients Serve as a clinical resource to staff, patients and families through the continuum of oncology care Encompass all spectrums of oncology care from newly diagnosed to recurrent stage IV Meet specific clinical needs of oncology and infusion patients by using knowledge and expertise Do prep and monitor patients
