Human Resources Manager

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function for our growing aerospace organization. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of human resources operations while ensuring compliance with applicable employment regulations and FAA-related workforce requirements.The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of progressive HR experience, including experience supporting organizations within FAA-regulated or aerospace environments. This individual must be confident, highly organized, and comfortable working with both executive leadership and frontline employees. Strong character, integrity, and cultural fit are critical for success in this role.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all HR functions for a workforce of 132 employeesDirectly supervise and mentor one HR team memberEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as FAA workforce regulations and audit requirementsManage employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, corrective actions, and conflict resolutionLead recruitment and talent acquisition efforts, including workforce planning and onboardingAdminister compensation, benefits, and payroll coordination (HRIS: Paycom – training available)Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook updatesPartner with leadership on organizational development, succession planning, and retention strategiesMaintain personnel records and ensure audit readinessSupport performance review processes and employee development initiativesPromote a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration consistent with aerospace industry standardsProvide guidance and coaching to managers on HR best practicesQualificationsBachelor's Degree required (Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred)Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experiencePrior experience supporting FAA-regulated, aerospace, or highly regulated manufacturing environments strongly preferredExperience with HRIS systems (Paycom experience preferred but not required)Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance practicesDemonstrated experience handling employee relations and investigationsExperience managing at least one direct report preferredSHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus, but not requiredIdeal Candidate ProfileHands-on leader who is not afraid to roll up their sleevesDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsConfident communicator who can work effectively with executive leadership, management, and production staffHigh integrity and sound judgmentProfessional, approachable, and able to build trust across all levels of the organizationStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsComfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated aerospace environment
