Help us transform our workforce of the future, today.As an Applied AI Scientist, you will collaborate with the Enterprise Data Analytics team to analyze and model customer data, learn banking processes, and transform data into actionable insights. You will work alongside other experienced Applied AI Scientists to design and prototype solutions that leverage advanced analytics and AI techniques.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand business and data requirementsDiscover, clean, and transform data for analysisDesign and build analytical and machine learning modelsPrototype and validate solutionsPerform statistical analyses and interpret resultsDeliver diagnostic, descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive analyticsExplore opportunities for machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI in predictive modeling, automation, and model trainingCommunicate findings effectively across multiple levels of managementOther duties as assignedQualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Data Science or related field plus 6+ years of related experience. Masters degree is a plus.Strong quantitative background with applied statistics skills (distributions, hypothesis testing, regression, etc.)Familiarity with predictive modeling, machine learning, generative AI, and data mining techniquesProficiency in programming and data science tools:Languages: Python, R, or JavaLibraries/Frameworks: NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlowExperience with SQL; exposure to Hadoop, Hive, or Spark is a plusKnowledge of ETL workflows and scheduling tools is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to collaborate across teams and work independentlyBanking or financial services experience is a plusFamiliarity with formal project management methodologies preferredLocationThis position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah.
