Surgery - Vascular Nurse Practitioner

The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for managing all aspects of patient preparation, care, and supervision. This role includes performing clinical assessments, assisting physicians with documentation, and ensuring appropriate patient follow-upRole: Nurse Practitioner Location: Avondale AZ Pay: Open for discussionKey Responsibilities: Assess patient health through interviews and by obtaining or updating medical histories Perform physical examinations, provide treatment, and offer patient counseling Document patient care services accurately in electronic medical records and departmental systems Recognize patients requiring immediate physician attention and initiate emergency care when necessary Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies Monitor and follow up on imaging results and lab data Perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and post-operative management Establish patient care requirements by building rapport with patients and caregivers Provide emotional, psychological, and educational support to patients and their families Promote patient independence by educating on conditions, medications, and self-care practices Ensure quality of care by adhering to established clinical standards and protocols Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all relevant privacy regulations Record and analyze patient symptoms, histories, and clinical conditionsRequirements: Current ACLS and BLS certifications Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Bachelor s degree (minimum requirement) Active DEA license Valid malpractice insurance Strong clinical decision-making skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and team collaboration abilities Effective organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up on ongoing projects Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work
