Bulletin 2613 Braintree High School Paraeducators
The Braintree Public School District is seeking paraeducators for Braintree High School. The paraeducators would work in the special education department with students receiving academic, social, and/or behavioral support. The responsibilities of the paraeducator would include reinforcing learning with individual and small groups of students under the direction of the classroom teacher or specialist, adapting work or classroom materials under the direction of the classroom teacher or specialist, and assisting in observing, data collection, and the use of positive behavior supports. Paraeducators are expected to maintain professional and ethical standards of student and family confidentiality.Qualifications: High School diploma required. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferredand/or experience working with students. A successful candidate would demonstrate consistentand dependable attendance, work collaboratively as part of a support team, take initiative, and be comfortable assisting the staff in maintaining appropriate school behavior.
