Radiation Therapist Location: Keene, NH Agency: Acruex Health Pay: $3,000 to $3,200 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Pay Rate: $75.00 - $80.00/Hourly. Summary: A Radiation Therapist is a healthcare professional who specializes in administering radiation treatments to patients with cancer under the supervision of Radiation Oncologists. They ensure accurate treatment delivery, monitor patient response, and maintain safety standards to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Responsibilities: Administers prescribed radiation treatment, setting the necessary factors, and monitors both patient and control panel during the treatment. Prepares patients in exam rooms and assists the Radiation Oncologist with medical examinations. Prepares patients, rooms, and equipment for treatment and simulations and assists the Radiation Oncologist with simulations. May inject dye into skin of patient as a marker, providing there has been demonstration of appropriate training and skills to the satisfaction of the Oncologist. May administer contrast media retrograde into the urinary bladder in patient during simulation. Performs all necessary calibration on equipment as prescribed by the Radiation Safety Officer in accordance with the conditions of therapy license, or any other regulatory body. Observes radiation safety measures for patients and personnel. Records all patient doses and gathers all confidential history on patients, documents all reactions that the patient may have, and reports these findings to the radiologist. Updates patient examination history file, records unusual conditions/limitations, accurately documents appropriate information in daily log book, completes procedure, performs scheduling, consultation and billing procedures as required, performs other paperwork as applicable. Requirements Requirements: 2 years current Radiation Therapy experience Required. Oncology experience Required. VARIAN TRUEBEAM experience Required. ARIA (Treatment Record and Management) experience Required. Previous travel experience - [Strongly Preferred] Traveler perm address must be included in profile BLS Certification, ARRT (T) Certification.
