Construction Superintendent - Kansas City, MO

Construction Superintendent IIDuties and Responsibilities:This role involves overseeing and coordinating field construction activities across multiple trade disciplines (e.g., electrical, plumbing, mechanical, finishes) to ensure safe, timely, and quality project execution. The candidate will work closely with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to support all phases of project delivery.Key Responsibilities:Manage and coordinate subcontractors across multiple trades during active field constructionReview construction drawings and assist in scope of work developmentDevelop and maintain project schedules; ensure subcontractor adherence to timelinesLead and attend weekly client progress meetingsCoordinate subcontractor schedules and resolve on-site conflictsObtain, submit, and track material submittals and shop drawingsPerform field layout and monitor construction progressReview subcontractor performance for adherence to safety protocols and work qualityPrepare daily progress reports and maintain photo documentation of project activitiesTrack monthly subcontractor labor hours and provide to the Safety representative monthly. Support the preparation of as-built drawings and project closeout documentationReview and approve subcontractor payment applicationsPreferred Experience:Prior experience with Job Order Contracting (JOC) or working on federal installations is a plusQualifications & Skill Requirements:Minimum of 10 years of current experience as a Lead Superintendent on commercial, educational, and/or government construction projectsDemonstrated stable work history with proven leadership on interior and exterior projectsBroad working knowledge of multiple trades and general construction practicesAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow established reporting structuresProficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Adobe softwareCollege degree preferred, but not requiredOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferredAdditional Requirements:Work Location:This position is based at the Kansas City Airport (MCI) and requires passing a Federal Security Threat Assessment and a Fingerprint Criminal Records Search.Physical Requirements:Must be able to occasionally climb ladders or lift and move heavy materials, as required by project activities.Driving Requirements:Use of a company pool vehicle or driving on client property may be required.
