Learn more at irco.com and join us to own your future.?Job Overview:?Assemble various models of product while working at a bench or on the shop floor by performing the following duties.Responsibilities:?Assemble parts according to standard work / job breakdown sheets of unit being assembled, bill of materials and work order instructions, and assembly drawingsFastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners according to torque specificationsOperates pneumatic and manual presses to assist in assembly operation, which includes setting up the pressesSet-up and operate identification equipment (stampers, labelers, etc.)Test product for compliance to meet specifications using manual and automatic test equipmentPaint, label and pack completed product for shipmentAchieve daily departmental productivity and quality levelsFollow all ISO procedures and safety rules, including wearing personal safety equipmentKeep Team Lead informed of mechanical/machine malfunctions or any supplies/tools neededHandle product to and from stockPerform in-process testing and make necessary corrections to meet standard work and Procedures for Qualification (PFQ)Notify team lead of non-conformance materialReport changes in work orders, bill of materials, and pick lists to team lead.Contribute to department/cell communication boardsCheck off and sign work order cover sheetsComplete daily hour by hour production sheetMaintain work area in accordance with 5S standardsIdentify and report all safety issues to team leadParticipate and/or lead continuous improvement events and trainingSuggest ideas for overall improvements to the area processesCross-train across multiple product linesPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements:?High School Diploma or GED?1+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting?Core Competencies:?Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules, policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and procedures.?Able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.?Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including, but not limited to, power hand tools, forklifts, skyjacks, cranes, and measuring devices.?Ability to identify routine problem causation, and correct routine problems, and willingness to learn.?Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions.?Team oriented, must have the ability to work cohesively with others.?Must possess ability to work well in a manufacturing environment.?Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.?Must be able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment.?Preferences:?2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.?Familiar with and ability to utilize all hand tools including wrenches, sockets, hammers, tape measures, crimpers, cutters, and steel banding.?Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process.?Familiar with and can utilize power tools.?Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.?Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements??This position will be based on-site?What we Offer??At Ingersoll Rand, we embrace a culture of personal ownership — taking responsibility for our company, our communities, and our environment, as well as our individual health and well-being.
