SENIOR COUNSEL OPPORTUNITYRedgrave LLP is seeking an eDiscovery Senior Counsel with at least 10 years of experience managing eDiscovery in complex litigations and investigations. The candidate will work closely with client teams to advise on eDiscovery and Information Governance issues. Candidate must be proficient in legal research and able to draft complex discovery related and information governance related work product, such as legal memorandums and correspondence, protective orders, ESI agreements, motions, playbook components, and defensibility memorandum. Ability to draft talking points and outlines for client meetings, custodian interviews, meet and confer sessions, and motion hearings. Ability to work directly with clients, and merits firms and other co-counsel to effectively manage client workstreams. Ability to work with experts, including task and matter management and preparation of experts for oral testimony. Candidate should be involved in industry-relevant organizations/groups and have the ability to identify and support firm initiatives in subjects and areas for thought leadership and development.ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide clients with "excellent value" for the services provided, including identifying legal issues with clients and providing legal analysis and solutionsProvide advice to team members across the Firm on applicable laws and the interpretation of legal documents in a manner that avails practical legal approach while properly managing the risks to the FirmResponsible for keeping the Firm informed on new laws, regulations, and industry trends that affect the business as well as assisting with the development of policies and training as necessaryMeet the Redgrave LLP timekeeper expectations at every levelPrepare and execute on an annual basis a business development plan that targets new work from new and existing clientsIdentify business development opportunities that result in business generationLead client engagements and teams with little oversightDeliver client work product that requires little to no revisions and editsCoach and mentor junior team membersBuild cohesive teams that bring value to client engagementsProvide technical knowledge and insightInteract and handle a range of clientsMaintain current and accurate time records, ensuring that time entry deadlines are metPerform other duties as assigned*Client-billable hours prior to write-downs; realization rates will be assessed and factored into performance evaluations and discretionary bonus considerationSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIESPossess excellent judgment and be able to exercise it under pressureAbility to impress and handle a range of clientsDemonstrated ability and thought leadership in one or more practice areas of value to the FirmStrong technical, client management, project plan design, facilitation, and project leadership skillsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of Firm team members, clients, and business partnersExcellent presentation skillsOutstanding analytical and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of legal principles specifically on eDiscovery, information governance, and data privacy and be up to date with the existent and emerging law legislation and practicesAbility to function in a high-energy, fast-paced environmentAbility to maintain an atmosphere where team spirit thrives on cooperation, trust, and empowermentMust be technology-adept and have excellent computer skills with Microsoft OfficeQUALIFICATIONSAt least ten (10) years of law firm experienceDoctor of Jurisprudence degreeAdmitted to a US bar and willing to obtain DC admission if not already barred in a Redgrave jurisdictionAbility to travel up to 50% percent of the timeAbility to travel internationallyPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSOccasionally lifts objects weighing up to 10 poundsFrequently reaches and grasps with arms and hands; occasionally stoops and bends; must have manual dexterityAbility to closely examine and inspect materialsAbility to identify and distinguish colorsAbility to travel as neededFrequently uses a keyboard to enter or transform words or dataWork is generally performed in a remote office environment with an occasional requirement to work in a normal office environmentBENEFITSRedgrave LLP is committed to supporting our employees and ensuring their needs are met beyond the workplace.
