NSBE SEEK Camp FacilitatorMultiple Locations | Virtual | Seasonal Full-Time | Classroom InstructionHouston (June 1st - June 26thVirtual Session 1 (June 15th - July 10th)Virtual Session 2 (July 13th - August 7th)Hourly Pay Range: $18.40*Position DescriptionNSBE SEEK Camp Facilitators are the foundation of the National Society of Black Engineers Summer Engineering Experience for Kids (NSBE SEEK) program. Working in teams of 2-3 peers, Facilitators manage classrooms of 15-25 elementary school students and deliver a fun, engaging, and rigorous engineering curriculum designed to build interest and aptitude in STEM.Facilitators serve as role models for students by demonstrating academic excellence, ethical leadership, and behaviors aligned with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) values and mission. Through daily engagement, Facilitators inspire students to explore engineering concepts, work collaboratively, and develop confidence in their abilities.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnthusiastically and effectively facilitate hands-on engineering and STEM curriculumLead daily classroom activities and instructional sessionsSubmit daily student attendance through the designated online systemServe as a positive role model, reinforcing teamwork, respect, and curiosityTrack and maintain student forms and classroom suppliesEscalate classroom or student issues to the NSBE SEEK Lead Camp Facilitator and NSBE SEEK Camp Program Manager, as appropriateParticipate in daily staff debrief meetingsSupport overall implementation of the NSBE SEEK program through additional duties as assignedQualificationsCollegiate engineering student, STEM major, or technical professional preferredPrior experience working with children, youth programs, or camps strongly encouragedPassion for STEM education and youth development
