Position Summary The Barista is the primary face of the store, responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and other beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve handcrafted coffee, tea, espresso-based beverages, and other menu items according to Gloria Jean’s standards. Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately at the counter or drive-thru. Educate customers about menu items and ingredients when asked. Handle POS transactions, cash, and credit card payments accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workspace, including equipment, counters, and service areas. Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies. Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines at all times. Provide friendly, efficient customer service and assist team members as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Prior barista, hospitality, or customer service experience is a plus but not required — training provided. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
