About the Role and Job:Job Title: Application Development Team LeaderLocation:Duluth, GAModel:HybridJob Type: Full time/ ContractThis job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and we are seeking team leaded with experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex IBM z/OS applications using COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2.ResponsibilitiesQualifications Essential Functions:Performs Project Management functionsAssists with analysis on proposed projects, providing input to system design solutions based on business requirementsReviews and approves technical specificationsProvides Business users and IT Management with time estimates and target datesPlans and organizes programming tasks in order to meet target datesMonitors project progress and makes adjustments in workflow, personnel and target dates as neededConducts system walk-throughs with programming team and business usersReports project status, problems and concerns to IT management and business usersCoordinates with Business Users, other IT Development teams, Data Center, Information System Security and 3rd parties as needed on projectsCoordinates security and audit considerations with users and Internal Audit departmentReviews developer test plans and test resultsReviews Business User Acceptance test plans and test resultsPerforms various IT organizational functionsMaintains assigned project information via our Project Tracking SystemsCreates and maintains project plansMaintains good user relationsMeets with Business users and IT management to determine project prioritiesProvides on-call support for each of our environments (production, user integration test UAT, and systems integration test SIT)Evaluates new software products/releases as neededPerforms team management functionsSupervises team of multiple Mainframe DevelopersSupervises contractors, including assistance with managing budget for contractorsEnsures adherence to architectural and development guidelines and is informed of emerging technology at the companyContributes to technology improvements used across the team for project and allocation managementMaintains team member performance review and attendance recordsWrites and conducts performance review and determines merit increases with IT managementEnsures adherence to company policies and procedures.
