In this role, you will play a crucial part in assessing, managing, and improving customer on-premises infrastructure. You will collaborate with clients, understand their unique requirements, and provide expert guidance and support to ensure the highest level of IT performance and security.ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough assessments of customer on-premises infrastructure to identify strengths, weaknesses, and improvement opportunities. Design, install, configure, manage, and troubleshoot various components of enterprise-level IT infrastructure. Utilize your expertise in server virtualization, including VMWare ESXi and Microsoft Hyper-V, to create efficient and scalable solutions. Manage and troubleshoot SAN storage systems, both Fibre Channel and iSCSI, ensuring data integrity and high availability. Oversee physical servers, running Network OS or acting as ESXi/Hyper-V hosts, implementing necessary updates and optimizations. Configure and maintain network switches, routers, and wireless devices from various vendors, such as Aruba, Cisco, Extreme, HP, and Meraki. Ensure the security of IT infrastructure by working with firewalls like Fortinet, SonicWALL, Meraki, and Cisco, implementing security concepts. Create and implement reliable backups and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical data and services. Collaborate with the team to handle telephony requirements and maintain efficient communication systems. Demonstrate a foundational understanding of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and cloud computing platforms like Azure and AWS. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance your skills and knowledge. QualificationsA minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure. Strong understanding of infrastructure security concepts and high availability solutions. Experience configuring and maintaining network switches, routers, and wireless devices from various vendors, such as Aruba, Cisco, Extreme, HP, and Meraki. Familiarity with SonicWall, Palo Alto firewall, and other firewall vendors. Foundational knowledge of Hyper-V and VMware virtualization technologies. Experience with Active Directory and Azure/AWS cloud computing is preferred. Relevant industry certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, CCNP, Extreme EDS/ECS, or Cisco Meraki Solution Specialist, will be considered a plus.
