Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Step into a rewarding role supporting middle school students in an Intensive Communications Program, located near Cicero, IL. This full-time contract position covers 35 hours per week, from August 14 through November 1, with potential for extension depending on district needs. You'll collaborate in a classroom setting designed for 9 students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities, all following a functional and life skills curriculum. Two dedicated paraprofessionals will assist you in delivering a rich educational experience focused on both academics and practical daily living skills.Your expertise will make a real difference as you guide students through Unique Learning curriculum components and foster growth through real-world activities—think mini-kitchen work, laundry routines, and community excursions.
