Learn more about Vail Health here.About The OpportunityThe Behavioral Health Technician I is a member of the Vail Health Behavioral Health (VHBH)’s multidisciplinary behavioral health treatment team, assisting with patient care and supporting a therapeutic setting. In addition to direct patient care, this position is responsible for documentation and ensures all programming is aligned with internal, local, state, federal, and regulatory standards of care and compliance.What You Will DoAssists with patient care including obtaining and recording vital signs, maintaining patient documentation, and completing administrative duties. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with healthcare providers, patients, and staff.Fields patient phone calls promptly and professionally. Engages in patient communication, education, and support as directed by the healthcare provider or provider team.Participates in maintaining the therapeutic setting of the clinical space.Ensures cleanliness, adequate stock of supplies and functioning equipment in patient care areas. Replaces supplies depleted on a daily basis. Cleans and prepares patient care areas, equipment and tools. Completes shift opening and closing procedures.Follows established departmental policies and procedures, OSHA Rules and Regulations, environmental and infection control standards.Ensures compliance with local, internal, state, federal, and regulatory standards and compliance including quality assurance, safety, infection control, and environmental procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.Perform other duties as assigned.
